Outpatient Services

Flexible, individualized care that fits your life

Outpatient therapy is ongoing mental health and substance use support you attend on your own schedule — no overnight stay required. It's the right starting point for most people seeking care.

What it is

Consistent support, built around your schedule

Outpatient services are the foundation of what we do: regular sessions with a licensed clinician, scheduled around your work, school, and family life. You come in, do the work, and return to your daily routine.

Care is fully individualized. Whether you meet weekly, biweekly, or at another cadence, your clinician tailors the approach to your goals — drawing on evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and family-systems work as needed.

We provide outpatient care in person at our South Plainfield office and through secure telehealth across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, so support stays accessible no matter what your week looks like.

Who it helps

Outpatient care is a good fit for

Most people who seek therapy start here. It's well suited to a wide range of concerns and life stages.

  • Anxiety, stress, and persistent worry
  • Depression and low mood
  • Trauma and its lingering effects
  • Substance use and co-occurring concerns
  • Grief, life transitions, and adjustment
  • Relationship and family challenges

What to expect

How outpatient care unfolds

Getting started is simple, and your clinician adjusts the plan as your needs evolve.

  1. 1

    Intake & goals

Your first sessions focus on understanding what brought you in and what you hope to change, so care is pointed in the right direction.

  2. 2

    Ongoing sessions

You meet regularly with your clinician, building insight and practical skills using approaches matched to your needs.

  3. 3

    Progress & flexibility

We revisit your goals over time and adjust the pace or focus — stepping up or easing back as life and progress dictate.

Common questions

Good to know before you begin

A few answers to the questions we hear most. Have another? We're happy to talk it through.

Outpatient care typically means one or more sessions per week and fits easily around daily life. If you need more structure than that, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a higher level of support without residential care.
